Name Change Project
The artist's legal name change to McLovin remains. Privately now, the artist's passport etc continue to bear the McLovin name, quietly and slowly continuing to explore the societal versions of what is considered "normal" and the judgements made about others - with precious little information about them.
Shortly after this name change, Ai provided an absurd inaccuracy when recording and transcribing the name - this inaccuracy translated "McLovin" to "Mark Levin."
From the moment of this happy accident, it was decided that when comfortable, the name Mark Levin would become the final version of the artists name, while retaining the name McLovin legally on ID, thus continuing to puncture and question societal norms.
